Murkiness lit up

Once more I feel compelled to write to the Gazette regarding the outrageous behaviour of Arun District Council and its arrogant, if not sinister, attempts to bypass the will of the electorate over housing matters.

The latest revelation about the ‘back door’ talks between planners, people who are being paid to work on our behalf, and developers, the ‘bottom-feeders’ who are being paid to exploit environmental and legal loopholes in search of enrichment, is a case in point.

Thank heavens for those few honest people, whistle-blowers, who are prepared to risk their careers in order to shed light on the murkiness that exists beneath the surface of this supposed honest representative institution.

They must be struggling for clean air to breathe whilst the planners or should I say ‘plotters’ lurk furtively in nefarious cabals in the dark corridors, planning their next move.

Naturally, people must now be asking why there is this over-riding predisposition to create a ‘Garden City’ type development in Arun, although I note they are now trying to downplay the impact by calling it a ‘Garden Village’.

Pure smoke and mirrors, I’m afraid, and the whole affair raises more questions than answers.

Why is Arun so hell-bent on pushing these proposals, which will create a carbuncle on the South Downs?

Why are there so many planning approvals for houses which have never been started yet still they crave more?

Why is Angmering Parish Council as quiet as a church mouse?
