This follows hard on the heels of the October 2013 purchase of 3 all-terrain mobility vehicles and the rebuild of the all-weather kart track.

The 1 km trail, which circumnavigates the 32 acre Lodge Hill site, will primarily be an Adventure trail open for Groups visiting and staying at the Centre. Situated along the trail will be numerous different activity structures offering different fitness, sensory and educational elements. These will include a tunnel crawl, monkey bars, log stack, xylophone, tyre hopscotch, balance beams, swinging steps, and an OXO panel.

The trail will be ideal for our All-Terrain vehicles and Mission Trikes, which can be pre-booked and hired on an individual basis by parents, carers, and teachers who have attended our Terrain & Trike training course.

The Trail will be officially opened on Sunday May 11th with a 10km Race starting at 10.30am, and a Family Fun Run starting at 11.30, with the entry proceeds being shared by both the Alzheimer’s Society and Lodge Hill Trust, but you are welcome to raise sponsorship for your favourite charity.

To take part or obtain more information contact Colleen on 01798 831411 ext. 223, [email protected]. To maximise support for the charities at this opening Gift Aiding is suggested, and information and fundraising packs will be provided to entrants.
