New male voice acapella group off to a good start

After successfully advertising in sister newspapers of the West Sussex County Times new male voice acapella group Vocal Fusion got off to a great start on Wednesday October 21, when 18 men - all in fine voice – turned up at their initial rehearsal room in Steyning.

So good was the turnout, that the chorus had to relocate during the first rehearsal to a larger venue, in which Vocal Fusion will now continue to rehearse.

Zoe Peate – musical director of Vocal Fusion commented: “ It was a great first rehearsal, with good acapella singing, and some really super voices. Several of the guys said they would bring a friend to the next rehearsal, so we’re looking forward to more guys joining up, and making great close harmony”

Vocal Fusion will sing an acapella repertoire embracing the styles of American song, swing, jazz, spiritual and secular music arranged in men’s voice and with an emphasis on Barbershop style.

Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening 7.45pm to 9.45pm at Steyning Methodist Church and new singers are always welcome.
