New way to bring village together

A COUPLE of years ago, the planning inspector determining the Tamarisk development by MJH Executive Homes, on the corner of Sea Road and Manor Road, said East Preston was "part of the urban sprawl".

To secure our character as a distinct village in its own right, we must enhance what makes us unique.

The proposed enhancement of village facilities which is being proposed by the Warren Recreation Ground charity, parish council and village hall foundation, in partnership, does just that.

It enhances and highlights the vibrant community spirit in East Preston, long evidenced by the ever-growing festival, the increased use of the village hall, the development of amenities managed by the parish council and the increase in the number of young families moving into the village.

My family, who use all the facilities of the Warren Recreation Ground, the village hall and the parish council, can't wait for the first brick to be laid.

We look forward to the interesting and exciting new playground and are happy to invest 6 per annum in the development of the village.
