No mention of saint
I WAS interested to read your Church News page (Gazette, February 2). Predictably it was all about the forthcoming Valentine’s Day, but what surprised me was there was no mention of the saint who inspired all the hype.
I realise that St Valentine was perhaps one of the lesser saints in the canon, but he is now probably one of the more recognisable names among the wider community. Perhaps he deserves a bit more recognition, and a bit of biography wouldn’t have gone amiss! It is not often the Church misses such an opportunity!
