The supporters club have been taking Albion fans to the American Express Community Stadium for all home matches over the last two years and have funded and supported a number of local organisations, youth football teams and charities in that time.

NWSS club secretary Mike Wilson said that he had seen for himself what a superb service the volunteer responders provide after a recent health scare and hopefully the donation will help towards ongoing training costs in what is clearly a very worthy cause.

We have nothing but admiration and respect for this dedicated team of volunteers who give up their time and offer rapid help in a medical emergency.

They provide a first class service to help others in need of emergency health care and the team fulfil an important role which is much appreciated by the local community, so we thank them for all their hard work.

The responders are called upon to assist in emergency calls for cardiac arrest, unconscious or collapsed patients, chest pain, breathing difficulties and minor trauma.
