Not all broadband speeds are too slow

I REFER to Councillor Glazier’s letter in last week’s Observer.

Superfast broadband is often bandied about but nobody seems to define what speed they are talking about.

He refers in his letter to Northiam, close to where I live, and I have no complaints regarding the current broadband speed.

I live one mile from the telephone exchange in Northiam and regularly get a speed of 4.5 Mbps and today achieved 5.5 Mbps.

Does money really have to be spent in Northiam? When I lived in Rolvenden Layne some four years ago, I was getting only 0.150 Mbps from the phone exchange in Beneden, some seven miles away.

That area really does need some investment.
