Not enough beds
I WAS very surprised at Dr Walsh’s statement (Gazette letters, August 4) that he was only repeating what he had been told about the condition of Zachary Merton Hospital. Surely doctors examine their patient before making a diagnosis?
The problem I have is that the proposed hospital will have only 20 beds, Zachary Merton now has 30. The new hospital plan is inadequate for local needs.
