Not that much of a surprise...

It just seems that every campaign people seem to rally behind ultimately (and unfortunately) means absolutely nothing when it comes to the crunch time.

Let’s have a quick look at the list – earlier this month plans to build thousands of homes in Barnham, Eastergate, Westergate and Angmering were approved – despite widespread opposition; money had been wasted looking at a new cinema site for Littlehampton (which I fear will never materialise) and now we have the campaigners in Wick fighting against proposals to build more houses in a community that is already cramped.

Sadly, I fear all their efforts will be in vain. I do wish them all the best, however.
