Open up the lane

WITH reference to Mr Wilf Daggat's letter (Gazette letter, July 15) concerning the problem of traffic on the Toddington estate and particular the traffic using Holmes Lane as a short cut to Lyminster and beyond, the answer must be for Toddington Lane to be opened up again to traffic, leading directly on to Worthing Road as it used to.

Whether this could be done or whether the authorities would allow it to be done, I do not know, but a roundabout or traffic lights at the junction to Worthing Road would be the answer,

Failing this, the problems highlighted by recent letters to the Gazette, concerning the Toddington estate, Holmes Lane and Toddington Lane, can never seemingly be resolved.
