Ostler's room to stay

FURTHER to Susan Brophy-LeMay's letter (Gazette, October 1), the ostler's room at the rear of the Railway Club site has not been demolished, but is retained and will be used to house utility meters for the new building replacing the Railway Club.

Saving the ostler's room was the result of much lobbying by interested parties and negotiations between the planning department at Arun District Council and the builders. The plans can be seen at the Arun Civic Centre planning department.
