Out of step twice

I am very grateful to you for publishing my letter of thanks (Gazette, May 1) to all who played a role in the Walk of Witness in Littlehampton on Good Friday.

However, there are two errors, which I don’t think can be due to my poor writing.

Firstly, the ‘star’ who agreed to play Judas and the drum at the last minute was from Parkside Church, not Portslade!

He was enjoying a quiet cuppa in the United Church Café, where the actors had gathered prior to the event, when he was ‘volunteered’. Thank you, Joe!

Secondly, the soldiers didn’t lift the P.A. system. It was the cross which broke as they lifted it, so there was a loud crack at a very solemn moment, but all the actors carried on with the crucifixion scene, undeterred. Well done!
