People voted on genuine beliefs

In his column this week, Mr. Tapp refers to the big issues of the day, including leaving the EU, before commenting on the way non-issues are taken up by ultra-PC people who have nothing better to do with their days. I’m with him on this. Was it necessary, though, to resurrect David Cameron’s description of ‘Leave The EU’ voters as swivel-eyed loons?

He doesn’t explicitly say so but I suspect, from the tone of the piece, Mr. Tapp shares this view. As Cameron found, it is counter-productive to insult more than half of the electorate.

Whatever way they voted on this question, people did so from a genuine belief in the merits of in or out of the EU.
