All praise needs to be given to whoever is the inspiration behind the truly delightful exhibition ‘Yarn Bomb’ on Hastings’ Pier last weekend.

The colourful 3D displays of sea creatures and structures created entirely from yarn are made with both skill and a sense of humour and are strikingly arranged and fixed around the pier.

Compliments also to all the local children and adults who made the items with such obvious enjoyment and love.

I do hope that once the displays come down they will be cherished and hopefully displayed elsewhere so that more people will be able to gain the pleasure experienced by those who have been able to visit them on what has been a singularly wind-swept pier.
