Pilgrimage to Santiago

In response to your parish pump report (Herald, p66, June 2) regarding my pilgrimage to Santiago I would like to add the following.

The pilgrimage will consist of me walking from home to Santiago De Compostela in Galicia. If I manage to complete the trek I will have walked 1,015km. The prayers I will be carrying are not just for members of the Salvation Army, I will gladly carry prayers to the shrine of St James, for anyone. So if you have a prayer for yourself or a loved one, hand it in to Worthing Salvation Army hall by Sunday, June 12.

Although this is basically a pilgrimage, I think it would be nice if I could raise some money as a thank you to St Barnabas House Hospice for all the good work they do for the people of West Sussex. If you would like to donate to them, you can do so through the Just giving account that I have set up (Eric’s Camino Norte 2016). Thank you for all your support.
