Play a key role in community patient transport services

Patient transport services (PTS) perform a vital role taking some of the most vulnerable people to and from local NHS services for their care.

Seven Sussex Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) are working together to redesign the way this service is provided in the future. The CCGs want members of the public to join a patient forum to inform the design of PTS to serve our communities.

We are looking for the new service to communicate better with patients and their carers, to take account of patients’ different needs and transport requirements, and to ultimately provide a safe, reliable, flexible and patient-centred service.

Starting in April 2015, members of the NHS patient transport forum will support the CCGs from the design of the revamped service right through to delivery in April 2016.

Your experience of using the current service and your voice will help to ensure the new provision meets the highest quality standards for all our patients and their carers.
