I live in Willingdon but drove to the Downs (approx 1 .5 miles) as I have a ‘risky’ knee – but enjoyed the time spent walking – often in isolation if the weather was challenging but usually seeing the same people most days.

Currently, I cannot do that, so we wander the roads or seek green grass elsewhere.

I am a local but now find I am in contact with far more people than I was before. It really makes no sense at all.

Should there not be some allowance for local dog walkers (we all have to display a permit on our cars) to carry on as usual?

Always allowing for the correct social distance protocol.

Keeping safe and well comes first, of course, but I can see no reason to limit any open space if we all keep to what is within Government regulations.
