Poop campaign is just not working

I AM writing about the article (Gazette, October 14) about the new campaign being launched to encourage dog owners to clean up after their pets. This is big problem in many parks in the area.

It is very unpleasant in the parks where our children play and equally not nice for our schoolchildren who have to clean their shoes on the way to school before actually going into class.

Does the council really think that posters are going to encourage people to clean up? As for bags being left in hedges and hanging on trees, that is probably because there are no dog bins.

Posters are only good for vandals to deface. Dog bins are needed more.
