Poppy Appeal evening

Each year the nation shows its support for the work of The Royal British Legion through the Poppy Appeal. Every poppy helps us to support the British Armed Forces past and present, and their families.

Colin Banks, Billingshurst Branch President and Chairman stated: ‘This is an important event in the Calendar for the Branch and would not be possible without the support of the Fishers Farm team; the Executive Officers; Members and Friends. This has become a popular event and this year the support has been extremely good. We are constantly reminded of the need to continue raising monies for the Poppy Appeal. Our volunteers have worked exceptionally hard and locally we have raised £11,400, contributing towards the national Poppy Appeal which is hoping to raise £37 million this year.’

Anyone wishing to become a Poppy Appeal Collector should contact John Jones, Honorary Secretary, on 01403 783392.
