Postal let-down

ARE we in Angmering unique in Sussex in having, within my recollection, the worst postal deliveries since the last war?

Deliveries are seldom seen before 1.45pm. Letters posted first class, even within Sussex, seldom arrive the next day.

Last week, two letters posted first class on different days in Brighton took six – yes, six – days to arrive!

What is the problem? Will it be sorted out? Will it get worse?

In our April 7 edition, a Royal Mail spokesman said the organisation was “working hard” to implement “major changes” in its delivery system, adding: “We apologise if any customers have experienced delays as the new systems bed in.”
