‘Potential disaster’
ON Monday, July 23, construction will take place for seven weeks along East Street. I have spoken with West Sussex Highways this morning as I only noticed the sign warning of this potential disaster to the town’s traffic flow on Sunday morning.
No further information as to where exactly the disruption would be was forthcoming from them when I telephoned.
Over the past few years we have suffered with thoughtless actions such as those which block one or other of the two east-west routes across the town, and to start again this year at the start of the school holiday period will ruin local traders. Surely our local council can do something!
