Pre-school celebrates 40 years

Southwater Village Hall Pre-school is the only charity pre-school in the village and has provided a safe, caring and stimulating environment for hundreds of children living in Southwater over the years.

The pre-school was rated outstanding by OFSTED for 2011/12, which in itself is a fantastic achievement.

This year, we are proud to announce that Southwater Village Hall Pre-school celebrates 40 years.

We are holding several events throughout the year to recognise this amazing success and we kicked off the celebrations on Saturday 29th March when The Easter Bunny came to visit the children at their Easter fair.

The event was very well attended and raised much needed funds for the pre-school. During his visit, the Easter Bunny heard about the Easter bonnet competition and asked if he could come back to help manager, Heather Clarke, with the judging.

The winners were Amber Agnew and Amy Jennings with the runners up being Toby Knight, Alex Tilier, Oliver Terry and Joshua Harding.

In this milestone year the pre-school has also been nominated for a prestigious award from the ‘What’s On 4 Little Ones?’ website.
