Queues, bank on it

WHY don’t the banks get their act together regarding cash machines?

Just one cash dispenser outside the bank is never enough for the demands made upon it. Often a queue builds up, which is the last thing the customer wants.

There should be at least two machines outside every bank, so why don’t the banks do it?

The answer is that despite their enormous profits, the banks are too parsimonious to spend the relatively small amount of cash needed to put in another machine. This is very short-sighted. The first bank to put in two cash machines will acquire a lot of new business, leaving the “one only” banks with egg on their face. Furthermore, the cash machines are frequently out of order, leaving the customer frustrated.

For goodness sake, banks, get your act together!
