Real reason for house shortage

I tried to make sense of your article on a Rother housing shortage and it seems that delays in the LHLR and associated developments, together with the depression, are a reason for a relaxation of planning boundaries. Surely not.

If land shortage was the case it would have been mentioned with the other excuses but not so.

That means that there was enough land available but houses simply aren’t being built fast enough.

According to the figures in the article, RDC is 940 houses behind schedule or, using the other figure of 4.6 years instead of five, about five months supply, which is 139 houses. Well, I’m really confused now.

So, what is the real reason for RDC to relax development boundaries?

Could this have anything to do with the upcoming auction of RDC land parcels?
