Repercussions are serious

So, Osborne tells us he intends to put the next generation first and yet the University of Brighton, it appears, intends to close its centre at Hastings.

All schools are to become academies.

One assumes the rebranding will cost the schools and can’t fail to wonder how the change in name will alter the nature of the school and solve staff shortages.

Will this provide an opportunity to open more grammars as academies?

Then we have Rudd and Merriman defending voting for cuts to disability benefits, which is odd as the government, it seems, is ‘kicking these measures into the long grass’.

It would all be amusing, if the repercussions were not so serious for some in our community.
