‘Retain Windmill’

ONCE again the Windmill is threatened, following the advice of consultants from outside the area whose proposals for developing the site border on lunacy.

Like it or not, Littlehampton is now primarily a destination for day visitors and any hotel in that position is likely to remain empty for much of the year. There is already a thriving restaurant adjacent to the site, and although I have no idea what a water play area might be, it hardly sounds suitable for all ages, as claimed.

While applauding any extra facilities for the young, I must urge the council to retain the Windmill for the benefit of the large number of us whose sporting activities are nothing but a dim and distant memory.
