Reverse time limit
WITH all the concern over the shortage of housing, surely one step in the right direction would be to find out why these people put in planning applications and then spend months, even years, before completing them.
In Littlehampton, we have two such sites and, as yet, no sign of work starting, let alone completion.
The largest of the two, according to my reading of the outcome when approved, stipulated it should be completed within five years. I believe under four years remain.

Hide AdAt one time, such applications had to be carried out within six months, although I know that this has been extended over the years. Perhaps it is time to reverse this time limit.
