She received fitness coaching, sessions with a sports psychologist as well as instruction from various technical coaches. At the end of the week she met Juan Carlos Ferrero, previous winner of the French Open, himself.

In February Sophie from Horsham finished in third place in a 16 and Under Grade 4 Sussex County Tournament. She finished the season ranked number 1 at her club, both at 14 and 16 and under, a great achievement at the age of twelve.
