Riverbeach access

I NOTE that West Sussex County Council is shortly going to build out the kerb on the four corners of Queen Street and York Road, as part of providing access to the new River Beach Primary School.

I also note that there will be two bollards on each one in order to stop parking on the corners.

Good Idea?

Possibly! But when the York Road access to the school is reinstated, will the arrangement whereby the coaches that pick up the children to take them to their weekly swimming lessons, from the Waitrose car park, also be discontinued?

If so, how are the large coaches going to be able to turn at the York Road junction?

I think it will be impossible and the only alternative is to have these large coaches backing the complete length of York Road.

Has the council also considered putting up notices informing owners of large vehicles that they should not enter the entire area, due to the lack of turning space?
