The Christmas pop-in lunch is the December event of the Storrington Pop-In Lunch Club which meets monthly throughout the year and is organised by Anne Hayes (wife of an ex-Rotarian).

The lunch club meets on the 1st Thursday each month in Storrington Village Hall. Members are primarily elderly members of the local community.

Storrington & Pulborough District Rotary Club has sponsored and run the Christmas event for many years. A dedicated team of Rotary wives provides the lunch and other Rotarians help prepare the hall, serve the food, wash up and tidy up afterwards.

Some 60 guests attended the lunch on Thursday December 3 enjoying a glass of wine and traditional Christmas lunch. The Junior Choir of Windlesham House school entertained the guests with a range of songs and Christmas carols (pictured).

This year the pop-in lunch welcomed additional support from the Waitrose Community Matters grant initiative which provides help for vulnerable members of the community.
