Rye’s Christmas lights are “dismal”
ON SUNDAY I was taken to Battle to see the Christmas Lights. What a joy they were. We came back to Rye and drove through the High Street - how dismal.
I know we were stopped having lights across the street by the ridiculous rules of Health and Safety, but surely by now some money could be found to put brackets on the walls, so that we could go back to lights as we used to have. On Satuday, December 11, the Christmas market on the Strand with Father Christmas and the reindeer was a great success, let us hope it will be a yearly event.
