Sam ‘proud’ to show support

X Factor winner Sam Bailey took time to out of her busy schedule on Tuesday as she dropped in to meet families supported by Shooting Star Chase children’s hospice.

Sam visited Christopher’s, the Shooting Star Chase hospice in Guildford, and spent time chatting to families, saw the specialist facilities available at the hospice and joined in an arts and crafts session with the children.

Sam, who had also performed at the charity’s Easter Tea hosted by Simon Cowell in April, said: “I think when you come to the hospice after being at one of the events it puts everything into perspective.

“I’m definitely going to go home and think about how things are different for each and every family and how hard and tough they have it. Some of the parents are so strong, I don’t know how they do it.

“There are amazing people who work at Shooting Star Chase and help the families, and the kids themselves are so resilient. I’m very proud to be a part of it.”

Shooting Star Chase is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families.
