School buy atlases thanks to donation

Pupils and staff at Storrington First School were delighted to receive a donation from the Chanctonbury Lions Club to purchase new sets of atlases for the school.

Over the last year the school has been working to update books in the school library and classrooms to ensure pupils of all abilities and interests have a wide choice of quality and rich reading material.

Head teacher, Marion Smith, said: “The atlases finish off our library refresh – the books we had were very well used and were dated and uninspiring for our pupils.

“The generous support of the Lions club has enabled us to purchase up to date and child friendly reference books that can be used by whole classes across the school. We are delighted and very grateful for their support!”
