School’s rugby shirt fundraiser

Staff and students at QEII Special School in Horsham are delighted to have been given a signed shirt by the England rugby team, ready for the Rugby World Cup! The school wants to auction the shirt off to raise money for their new Butterfly Remembrance Garden and are welcoming bids directly from people in the Horsham community.

QEII’s Head Teacher, Lesley Dyer, said: “We have begun transforming a part of the school’s existing sensory garden into a special remembrance area. We now need extra funds to help with the cost of designing and making metallic butterflies, with one for each student who has sadly died. Families of these students will be invited to decide where they would like to place the butterfly in the garden. The hope is that it will then provide a pleasant, quiet area to spend time.”

People interested in bidding on the shirt should email their offers to [email protected] by Wednesday October 21. The winning bidder will be invited to the school to be presented with their prize!
