Solid brick shelters demolished, good benches dismantled, the weird, very uncomfortable bench built that enters a hideous metal shelter that will not keep out the wind and rain.

Then the new, massive playground. I saw one small child using it, and a group of teenagers throwing stones and using the swings. All this at a time when funding cuts are widespread.

I think the council has lost the plot.
