Selsdon Park Hotel hosts Christmas Charity Ball

Generous customers, suppliers and staff of AVS dug deep to help raise £8000 for two very deserving charities; Macmillan Cancer Support and Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, both of which were represented on the night.

Tom Carter, of Macmillan said, ‘Donations make up 98% of Macmillan’s income, so events like this make a huge difference for us and the lives of the people we support. We are extremely thankful.’

Rockinghorse, Head of Fundraising, Analiese Doctrove said: “Our aim is to improve the lives of sick children throughout Sussex, and the contributions generated at the AVS charity ball are crucial to help us continue to do this.”

Money was raised through ticket sales, auctions, raffles, and games, orchestrated on the night by AVS Sales & Marketing Director, Nick Summers; “We are so pleased to be able to utilise our position as a leading UK fencing supplier to raise money and awareness for these two charities. We can’t thank our customers, suppliers and staff enough for their heart-warming display of generosity.”
