So much better with Arun ferry

I AM writing on behalf of a friend who lives in River Road, Littlehampton, whom I visit often.

She has asked me to write to you to say how necessary and desirable it would be for a ferry to operate over the river to West Beach, which is a popular and delightful beach.

But now the only way to get there is by road – a long way round over the bridge – and when there, car parking is restricted.

I can remember many, many years ago, when I was a child and my parents took me and my sister on holiday in Littlehampton. Nearly every day we went over on a ferry, as it was such a lovely beach on the other side.

So, let us hope that this much-needed form of transport will again be operating – it will be very popular and a great benefit to so many.
