These included sessions on how to inspire children through stomp-style rhythm challenges, Indian tabla drumming, creative song-writing, singing and signing songs with British Sign language and a national music project honouring the 100 composer, Benjamin Britten.

Marianne Newman, of Southwater Junior Academy, said: “Our talented Year 4 children helped Mrs Kear to ‘teach the teachers’ how to teach, energise and inspire children through rhythm challenges and activities.

“The children supported the delegates in two hands on, practical, noisy sessions!

“Thank you Freya, Henry, Harry and Rory for being absolute stars and representing the school superbly. A great achievement. Very well done to you all.”
