Special occasion
It was good to see the Armed Forces' Day on The Green well represented, with crowds of people enjoying this special occasion in warm sunshine (Gazette, July 4).
The drumhead service reminded us of the men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.
There was also plenty of opportunity to view the charity stalls,and listen to stirring music from a pipe band playing well-known Scottish melodies.

Hide AdCongratulations must go to Littlehampton Town Council and Harbour Park for all their planning and organising, which made this event so successful, and to councillor Dr James Walsh, who kept us informed of what was happening during the day.
