ST CATHERINE'S: Attack on our head teacher is both unkind and un-Christian

WE used to go to St Catherine's School and although there were a few problems with bad behaviour from some pupils, we received a good education and achieved excellent SATs results.

Mr Lenkiewicz was a pleasant and friendly headmaster who always had time to listen to the children and their parents, and as a result St Catherine's was a happy school.

It seems a little unfair to blame one man for recent poor teaching in the school, especially as Mr Lenkiewicz was headteacher during the "excellent" times as well as the bad.

One of the most important lessons that we learned at St Catherine's was to care for our fellow human beings and to be good Christians.

The protest outside the school was a vindictive and cruel attack on a man who has been unwell for 12 months.

It was both un-Christian and unkind.
