We are writing to express our dismay and disgust at the way some people in our town are stockpiling some foods, toiletries and toilet paper and causing our supermarkets to run out of essential items.

Do those people who are loading up their cars ever think about others in our community? The elderly, the unemployed, refugees and those waiting for Universal Credit, who can only shop for what they actually need but find the shelves empty.

In some countries there are still people who are too poor to buy toilet paper and yet here people are now buying packs and packs every time they go shopping. It is time the supermarkets started rationing some items so there is enough for everyone.
