Super bus team

ON SUNDAY, March 13, a number of people helped plant more than 400 trees in Mayflower Way, and all elements of the community were involved.

As chairman of the Angmering Youth Forum, I would like to thank all my colleagues who turned out to support the venture and cook bacon butties and supply hot drinks to all the willing volunteers. The hot drinks were courtesy of Angmering Framing and Stitches and the power of the generators was down to the parish council, so a splendid team effort all round!

Another unnamed volunteer supplied us with home-baked cakes, which went down very well!

I would particularly like to thank Simon and Sue from Overland Travel. Simon drove the bus for us and Sue, as well as planting trees, helped us with a logistical issue.

We exist because of generous donation and several of the volunteers gave money towards our costs, so thank you for that.

We still need volunteers to help with our project and all we ask is for a couple of hours a week on a Thursday from 7-9pm. You may even want to drive the bus and we can arrange training, cost free, as long as you show commitment.

If you do feel you want to help, call me on 01903 859713 or e-mail
