English schools from across the country, both state and independent, compete in regional events throughout the autumn and the finals include the fastest top 20 teams.

The Farlington squad includes only Year 9 girls - Lauren Pedel, Lilly Cherriman, Gaby Eltham and Gemma Cumber - and they qualified as the 18th fastest team in England. The team will compete in the Medley Relay in the intermediate category which is made up pupils from Year 9 and 10, so they will be able to compete in this category next year as well.

This is a fantastic achievement for the Farlington girls who are all part of the same squad at Atlantis and have recently returned from a training camp in Lanzarote during the October half-term break.
