Swimming success for Cranleigh

At the IAPS finals, held at K2 in Crawley last weekend, Cranleigh Prep School made a ‘big splash’, producing some of their finest championship swimming results this year. CPS took home 4 medals in total: gold, silver, and two bronze, as well as a shower of new personal best times from all the qualifiers.

Max W came 1st with gold for the U10 Boys’ 25m breaststroke event, with a record time of 18.26.

Piers B (Captain) won silver in the U13 Boys’ 50m individual backstroke event, with a time of 30.73.

Martine S, Jess B, Lulu F and Olivia R snatched the bronze medal in the Girls’ U12 freestyle relay event in 56.20.

Jess B won her Bronze in the U12 Girls’ individual 50m Butterfly event - 14.78.

Martine S came 5th in U12 Girls’ 50m freestyle event – 30.32.

Lulu F came 5th in U12 Girls’ 50m breaststroke event – 40.84

Millie B finished 7th in the finals of the Girls’ U10 25m individual butterfly event - 16.91.

Max F came 12th in Boys’ U12 50m Freestyle event – 31.36

Maya M came 3rd in her heats for the Girls’ U12 backstroke with a personal best time of 39.45.

Will Philpot, Head Coach at Cranleigh Senior School, comments “ CPS certainly stood out of the crowd when you compare our results against so many other larger ‘swimming schools’ who took part in the finals this year.”
