Thanks, drivers

MAY I take this opportunity to thank all the motorists who have stopped so readily when asked, and especially those who have stopped of their own volition, whilst driving along Sea Road on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings to allow the Arun Youth Aqua Centre’s young members to pull their dinghies down to, and back from the launching area on the beach in safety.

The sailing season has now finished, so you won’t be asked to wait for them again until next May, but please be assured your patience is much appreciated by the young sailors and the “older” instructors, safety boat crews and helpers who have to put up with abuse, revving engines and even failure to stop by a small number of drivers who, hopefully, will be calmer and more considerate in 2012.
