Thanks for effort and help

I WOULD like to take this opportu nity to thank the traders in the village who regularly support the Village Hall Foundation in its fund-raising effort by supplying such excellent prizes for the raffle at the monthly film nights.

It is very heartening to have this support, especially in the time of a recession, when I am sure life is difficult for some of them.

Particular thanks to Seaview Stores, who have encouraged others to participate and thanks to them for now offering another box office outlet.

This complements the long-term support and help from Hedgers Newsagents. We are grateful to all of you.

We are delighted to have support from the community in ensuring this lovely old hall meets the needs of parishioners of East Preston and Kingston.
