The Big Pedal 2014
Heron Way Primary School took part in the Big Pedal 2014 - a giant inter-school cycling and scooting competition encouraging children, staff and parents to choose two wheels for their daily commute!
We think it’s a fantastic way to get more of our children on their bikes and scooters and have fun getting to school.
As a school we are looking into many different ways to ease congestion outside our school gates with the added benefits of a healthier lifestyle! To celebrate Heron Way Primary School becoming a ‘Bike It School’ (and also the end of the ‘Big Pedal’) there was a free breakfast to all those children who travelled to school by scooter and bicycle on Friday 14th March. Heron Way Primary School would also like to thank Waitrose supermarkets who helped by donating food for the breakfast.
