The Little Growers gardening club launched at Hillier Horsham on Brighton Road during the half term and all three sessions were full.

Children of all ages got the chance to decorate and plant up two pots, a funny face cress pot and a smart marigold one. The Little Growers also got to meet some bugs and beasties and learnt from Hillier staff, Sally and Declan, about good bugs and bad bugs.

Helen Young, whose children both joined in, said: “We all had a lovely time at the Little Growers club, we’ve been looking for something like this where the children can learn a bit about growing and gardening.

“They were so proud of themselves when they’d planted everything too!”

The Little Growers club will be back again during the summer holidays.
