This unit is located on the outside wall at the White Horse Inn in Maplehurst and complements the second unit installed outside the Black Horse Inn in Nuthurst last Spring and the first unit installed in winter of 2012 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Mannings Heath

All three cPAD’s are simple to use, fully automatic battery powered heart start machine that can be used by the public, as easy to follow, step by step, visual and audible prompts are provided by the defibrillator.

The portable defibrillators are housed inside bright yellow weatherproof cabinets allowing quick 24/7 access via a standard key code, that is known to the local Ambulance Service, local First Responders and local residents .

If used within a few minutes on someone who has stopped breathing and is receiving Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), the use of a defibrillator will significantly increase their chance of survival following cardiac arrest.
