Kim Khan of Address Estate Agents grew up in the village of Southwater and now sees her four children flourishing in the excellent local schools.

“Being part of such a vibrant and friendly community is fantastic but we never take it for granted,” says Kim, who started Address Estate Agents with her husband Mo Khan seven years ago to serve Southwater where their office is based.

“We try to give something back through sponsoring local activities including Castlewood School’s Blackberry Fair which we’re really looking forward to in September and we’re very proud of the kids’ football club we sponsor, as the boys won their league to become reigning champs!”

Taking an active part in the community means Address understand much of what makes Southwater tick. Keeping their ear to the ground helps when it comes to advising on the right time to sell, the right place to buy and what’s happening in the market.

“Activity so far this year has been excellent,” adds Kim. “The market has become less seasonal over recent years and buyers looking in August tend to be serious so it’s better to get on the market sooner rather than later.”

Over the summer, Kim recommends that sellers keep an eye on garden maintenance and mow the lawn regularly, keep windows clean as the sun highlights smears, and remember to close windows when you leave the house.
